Rebuys

Now PartyPoker is glad to offer you rebuys and add-ons for several multi-table tournaments.

It means that you can buy more chips during a tournament. The rebuy period will take place prior to the first break in a tournament. The rebuy will available to players, whose chip count is lower or equal to the amount they started the tournament with. Also during the first break, all players will be able to perform an add-on for more chips, regardless of their chip count. Tournaments may allow both methods of increasing the number of your chips, or just rebuys.

If rebuys and add-ons are available in a particular tournament, this fact will be displayed in the Tournament Lobby. A tournament's rebuy and add-on information can be found in the box on the right-hand side.

The prize pool distribution for rebuy and add-on tournaments will not be calculated until both the rebuy and add-on period has ended. Only the total prize pool figure will be displayed until the add-on period is over. If the add-on option is not offered, the prize pool distribution will take place after the rebuy period has ended.

If you want to request a rebuy, click on the 'Rebuy' button on the game screen.

If you lose all your chips, the rebuy screen option will appear automatically. You will have 30 seconds to decide whether you want to rebuy or not. If you do not rebuy, you will be eliminated from the tournament.

There is a different number of rebuys allowed for different tournaments. The number of add-ons can also vary from zero to unlimited in a tournament. Information about the number of rebuys and add-ons will be displayed in the Tournament Lobby under the tournament description box.

When the tournanemt starts, you can see not only stack details, but also the cost of rebuy or add-on and number of chips per rebuy or add-on.

There are some exceptions in rebuy and add-on tournaments. If a player is eliminated from the tournament at a rank that has a prize associated with it, even though the prize pool is not published, then the rebuy/rebuy and add-on period will be closed. The prize pool will be published and the eliminated player will be paid his prize money.

Crash settlement policy impact

With each rebuy and add-on, the total chips in the tournament will increase. The total chips in rebuy tournaments will be equal to the sum of all players 'player's starting chips (including extra starting chips, if any)' plus the sum of chips given to all players through a rebuy request plus the sum of chips given to all players through an add-on request. The total chips in the tournament will continue to accumulate as and when players make a rebuy request and the final number will be calculated only when the add-on period is over.

If a tournament crashes during the add-on period, the exact count of total chips in the tournament at the time of crash (including the chips added into the tournament as a result of rebuy and add-on requests) will be used to distribute the balance of the prize pool money.
